Yeah, I never set out to make protective covers. It just happened because I was sick of seeing the same problem in my shop day after day.
People would come in with their boat motors for repair, but then I'd have to tell them their remote was corroded from a bit of water - "Sorry mate, you're up for a new remote." Seven hundred bucks, sometimes twelve hundred for a replacement. I'd see their faces drop.
I remember this one regular customer - his remote was stuffed after just six months. Bit of rain got in overnight, and that was it. The look on his face when I told him the cost...
That night I thought, "I can't keep telling people to spend $700-$1000 on a new remote. I've got to help them out somehow."

Yeah, that's right, we've designed these to fit all the major remotes on the market. Look, to be honest with you, we've got two types available right now with two more moulds being developed. I was sick of seeing people come in with different remotes all damaged, so I made sure we covered the most common ones first - your Minn Kotas, Garmin, Lawrence your Motorguides, all those popular models. It's literally just a skin that stretches over your existing remote. If you're not sure which one you need, just take a photo of your remote and shoot it through to us, and we'll sort you out with the right one. No worries.
How long does the waterproof protection really last?
We've tested these properly, these are waterproof you will have enough time to grab it when it's floating there. The remotes themselves are only water-resistant at best, which means no splash protection. I see people coming in every day with corroded remotes from just a little bit of water getting in. With Aqua-Skins™, you've got full protection against rain, splashes, and even dropping it in the water. 100% waterproof.
